MAHALAXMI TEACHER TRAINING: This Yoga Teacher Training is unique in that it incorporates the many facets of Yoga practice. The Yogic texts give methods and systems that can aid in having a steady and easy seat in life or “Sukham Sthiram Asanam” as stated in the Yoga Sutras. Beyond learning about the postures, creating intelligent sequences and exploring styles such as Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, you will touch on more ways to create a calm happy joyful mind and body.
This training is appropriate for:
*those who want to become teachers and have at least 5 years of practice history or previously received a 200 hour training
*those who want to fine tune their teaching ability
*those who want to deepen their experience of the many facets of the yoga path
*The Curriculum will include:
*More advanced Asanas (posture), pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques from a variety of traditions.
*History and tradition of yoga philosophy with study of ancient texts as well as more modern ones.
*Ayurveda (traditional Indian healing; The Science of Life)
*Adjustments and assists for all levels; Alignment, Bandhas and Breath; *Practice teaching
*Mythology of Indian gods and goddesses and Indian Mysore painting
*The 10 subtle bodies in Kundalini Numerology, and the 5 Bodies in Hatha Yoga *Sequencing and structuring your class
*Each student will receive a full 300 hour certification with a certificate.
When: One or sometimes two weekends of each month from February 2018 to November 2018; Saturdays 9:00-6:00pm; Sundays 9:00-5:00; some Friday evenings 6:30-9:30

Mary Flinn (MFA, RYT E500 and Ayurveda consultant) has been teaching and living Yoga since 1995. She runs workshops on yoga practice and philosophy and leads Ayurvedic cleanses each season. She has run several yoga centers in NYC and Philadelphia including Mount Airy Yoga in Philadelphia, The Kundalini Yoga Center of NY and Satya Yoga Center in Brooklyn NY. She has been blessed by the Late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and his Grandson Sharath Rangaswami to teach the first and second series of Ashtanga Yoga. She continues to study Yoga philosophy and Pranayama with Dr. Shankaranarayan Jois in Mysore India. Mary has taught workshops and led retreats nationally and internationally in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Canada and was a guest teacher in Japan at the Tokyo Yoga conference in 2007.
Cost of Training:
$3550 if paid before the start date; $3700 if paid at the time of the training; $4000 if paid in installments over the course of the training. (Once committed to the program there is a no refund, the funds may be used towards a future training if possible)
