Mary Flinn RYT E500 will be leading a Teacher Training incorporating the elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Kundalini Yoga. Understanding the roots of the yoga practice will prepare you in creating your own dynamic Yoga class. This training will give you the tools you need to share what you have learned and make the world a better place. We will explore the many sides of yoga including meditation, breath work and postures.
This training is appropriate for:
*those who want to become teachers and have at least 2 years of practice history
*those who want to fine tune their teaching ability
*those who want to deepen their experience of the many facets of the yoga path
*Curriculum will include:
*Asana (posture), pranayama (breathing) and meditation techniques from a variety of traditions.
*History and tradition of yoga philosophy with study of ancient texts as well as more modern ones.
*Ayurveda (traditional Indian healing)
*Kirtan (chanting)
*Adjustments and assists for all levels; Alignment and Bandhas and Breath;                              *Practice teaching
*Mythology of Indian gods and goddesses  and Indian painting
*All classes with the lead teacher can be used towards your 500 hour training with Yoga Alliance.
*Each student will receive a full 300 hour certification with a certificate.
*Sequencing and structuring your class
When: The second weekend of each month from October 2017 to June 2018. Fridays from 6:30-9:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 9:00-6:00pm.

About Mary:
Mary Flinn (MFA, RYT E500 and Ayurveda consultant) has been teaching and living Yoga since 1995. She runs workshops on yoga practice and philosophy as well as teach Ayurvedic cleanses each season. She has run several yoga centers in NYC and Philadelphia including Mount Airy Yoga in Philadelphia, The Kundalini Yoga Center of NY and Satya Yoga Center in Brooklyn NY. Her daily practice is rooted in Ashtanga yoga and she has been blessed by the Late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and his Grandson Sharath Rangaswami to teach the first and second series of Ashtanga Yoga. She continues to study Yoga philosophy and Pranayama with Dr. Shankaranarayan Jois in Mysore India. Mary has taught workshops and led retreats nationally and internationally in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Canada and was a guest teacher in Japan at the Tokyo Yoga conference in 2007.
Ancient Oaks Farm incorporates a fire meditation (Agni Hotra), every sunrise and sunset. The fire purifies the air and cleanses the atmosphere. Along with the Scottish Longhorn cows 10 acres of the land is used for organic farming. This creates a space that is very conducive for Yoga study.

Cost of Training:

$2950 if paid before August 1, $3100 if paid at the time of the training; $3300 if paid in installments over the course of the training.
